BIO
Italian pianist and composer Angelo Piana has developed a musical language rooted in improvisation, contemporary piano writing and atmospheric soundscapes.

He began playing piano at the age of nine and pursued formal studies later in life, graduating from the CPM Music Institute in Milan in 2014, and completing a Jazz Piano degree at Siena Jazz in 2020, one of Italy’s most respected jazz institutions.

Between 2017 and 2022 he released three independent albums recorded and produced in a home studio environment. In 2019, he also released “Atman”, a jazz trio album recorded in Birmingham, which received positive recognition and credits from bassist Gary Crosby, further establishing his reputation within the jazz community. These recordings capture the essence of his artistic identity: intimate piano textures, spontaneous improvisation and a cinematic sense of space and emotion.

Alongside his work as a composer and recording artist, Piana has performed internationally with cruise ship orchestras and in luxury hospitality venues, gaining extensive live performance experience across diverse musical contexts.

Today his music moves fluidly between modern classical, jazz and ambient influences, seeking a balance between structure and freedom where the piano becomes a vehicle for atmosphere, reflection and storytelling.
